SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small molecule that acts as an agonist (activator) of the estrogen-related receptor (ERR) family (α, β, γ).
It is considered an “exercise mimetic” — meaning it may mimic some of the molecular effects of exercise (especially on metabolism and mitochondrial function) without actual physical exertion.
In cells (e.g. skeletal muscle cell lines), SLU-PP-332 has been shown to enhance mitochondrial function and cellular respiration.
It has been used in animal (mouse) studies (mostly via injections) for investigating metabolic disease, obesity, fat metabolism, mitochondrial health, etc.
